Work friends were weird. Apparently sometimes you find yourself working alongside people that you'd be fighting against earlier. Or at least that's what the Avengers had told Thor about the Scarlet Witch and how she was now one of them. Thor didn't really have a problem with it, he was brother to Loki so he understood redemption. Redemption and tolerance without being continually stabbed in the back was new though. And nice.

Also, Thor knew what it was like to lose a brother and while Wanda was taking it well he knew that hurt could never completely go away. You could only hope to eventually have the dull ache diminish to where it didn't constantly feel like it was going to rip your heart in half.

"You know, I really think you should come to Asgard sometime," Thor told Wanda as he wiped away a bit of beer foam from his beard. "You could find more people there to tutor you in the use of your magic. That and it is truly one of the most glorious sites in all the Nine Realms."

Wanda looked over at him, a half smile pulling at the corner of her lips. "Wouldn't the bridge destroy the building if we don't go outside?" She didn't have a great understanding of how they worked but she was fairly sure that it was an event when they traveled using the Asgardian device.

She took her beer and chugged it before placing the empty glass back down on the table. "Let's go." It was decided, they're going to Asgard.

"Well, yes, it would. But we'll go to the roof. That's technically on the building which is as good as in it," Thor said, standing up from his seat and holding out his hand. He couldn't quite remember where he'd left his hammer but by the sound of glass breaking and metal bending it was behind at least one door and possibly a window. It was fine, Stark was rich.

Thor headed up to the roof with Wanda, excited to be able to share his home world with someone. They should probably leave a note or something like that but that sort of foresight wasn't really Thor's specialty. Besides, they were all adults and there was no reason they couldn't leave. Standing atop the building Thor beamed a smile at Wanda and looked up to the sky, raising his hammer.

"Hiemdal! My companion and I do Asgard!" he shouted, moments before the shimmer of the Bifrost surrounded them.

Wanda couldn't stop the smile that spread over her lips. Trust Thor to think of some loophole while also putting the situation in the simplest terms possible. It was one of the things she liked about Thor. It didn't have to be complicated and messy.

She waited for his hammer, not even hiding the entertainment that reflected in her eyes at the sounds of breaking glass and bent metal. Wanda had no problem spending Tony's money.

It was a curious thing. She had seen the gate open before but this was the first time that she'd be stepping through it. Her boots clicked softly on the roof as she took a spot next to Thor. The light surrounded them before her body was pulled upward and then forward. She stepped again to find herself in a circular room of gold. Wanda looked at the man waiting for them, his eyes a cloudy white as he stared at her.

"Wanda Maximoff, welcome to Asgard," Heimdal said with a nod to the young woman. Thor beamed Heimdal a smile and clapped the man on the shoulder.

"Wanda, this is Heimdal. He sees everything, which is why he knows who you are," Thor explained. He didn't really think about how troublesome some people might find that kind of statement but to Thor it was just how things worked. Heimdal saw everything so nothing really shocked him.

"But come. Let us go see Asgard proper," he said, gesturing to beyond the Bifrost to where the golden city stood in all its splendor.

Wanda's eyebrow rose at the man but she said nothing. She got the feeling that he could see more of the worlds with those clouded eyes; which Thor quickly confirms.

"Heimdal." She nodded her head in way of greeting before turning back to Thor. She might have assumed that he talked about the people he knew back on Earth though she realized that she didn't know what he'd say. Out of all of the Avengers, she knew Thor the least.

Wanda turned towards the bridge and followed Thor. She didn't consider flying there, even if they could both technically use their abilities to fly.

"Asgard is one of the Nine Realms. We are known across the galaxy as peacekeepers," he explained as they walked, the pride in his voice evident. His father had worked hard to bring peace to the galaxy and Thor hoped to continue that legacy some day. He knew that it was a large task but he felt that being part of the Avengers would help make him the sort of king who would be able to bring that peace to his people and to others.

"As you can see, we are not a planet proper. All of Asgard is similar in size of Sokovia. It mainly consists of the city you see before you and the surrounding area."

Wanda's eyes moved slowly over the city as they walked. She has never seen its equal. Eventually her attention turned back to Thor, who looked happy to act as a tour guide.

"I've heard." She didn't know all of the politics of the galaxy but she had heard of Asgard's stance in the matter. "It's beautiful." Her voice held a soft tint of awe and admiration towards the towering spires of gold. This city was beautiful, if not also very expensive.

"Where are we heading?" He had mentioned her getting a teacher here but he seemed content with showing her around first.

"We'll head to the palace first. Were my mother or brother alive either of them would be a good choice to train you. As it is I'll ask my father who might be best to train you," Thor said. The thought of his dead family members, even his brother, darkened his mood for a moment. He thought that out of all the Avengers Wanda would understand the most.

"But, we will find someone to train you," he added a moment later with a reassuring smile as he gave her shoulder a pat. "Even if we have to go somewhere else in the Nine Realms."

Wanda understood and chose not to press the matter. She had lost her parents at a young age and then her brother more recently. It take taken her over a decade to work pass her parent's death and she didn't think she would ever recover from Pietro's. She felt that soft pang of pain in her chest whenever she thought of her brother, as there was an emptiness inside of her that might never be filled. There was no spell or cure to heal the wound, only time and patience.

"Thank you." She smiled in return though her eyes betrayed the severity of her thoughts. "I . . ." She paused, searching for the words that she wanted to say to him.

"I am indebted to you."

Wanda felt that way towards all the Avengers. She had played on their fears, seen within their heads. She had no idea why any of them forgave her. Thor, she understood. His brother was a mage and it was something that he was used to. The others… Wanda didn't know. She was constantly faced with uncertainty around them. Perhaps that was why she felt more comfortable around Thor.

"Do you have bars in Asgard?" She asked with a more earnest smile spreading across her lips. Finding a teacher was important but there was no saying that they couldn't have some fun while they were here.

"Nonsense. We are comrades in arms and friends. It's what we do," Thor told her, giving her a hearty slap on the back. Nothing made fast friends quite like battle, whether it was those you fought alongside becoming closer friends or your enemy becoming a friend. Or... in some cases both. He'd met both Stark and Rogers by first attacking them so why couldn't it be the same with Wanda?

When she brought up drinking though he couldn't help but give her a broad smile. Neither Stark or Rogers had ever asked something like that. Yes, he and Wanda were certainly going to be good friends.

"We have something even better. Wait until I show you the Mead Hall!"

Wanda felt the force of his slap and grunted softly. "Thanks." She laughed as she pushed a loose strand of hair out of her face. It was good to have friends and all to unfamiliar for Wanda.

"I'll look forward to it. No one can drink like a Sokovian." Or a Russian. Either way, Wanda was a fairly skilled drinker and she was curious.

"Hah, challenge accepted then," Thor said. He wasn't going to boast about his own abilities or the fact that he was a god. Truth be told humans had a truly impressive ability to put away large amounts of alcohol and still remain conscious. If Wanda was claiming to be good at it he had no reason to doubt her.

"Where to first? The tavern or your father?" She was depending on Thor to lead them and would be completely lost without him. So far she hadn't seen anyone except the gate keeper, then again, it was a very long rainbow bridge.

"The tavern for sure," Thor said with a nod. As much as he wanted to see his father he knew that it could be a frustrating conversation for any number of reasons. He would rather enjoy himself first and then see what it was his father might say. Besides, he was a host here to his friend and it was best to show her as good a time as possible.

"Tavern it is." Wanda replied while a small smile stretched over her lips.

She didn't have a preference in what they did when. If she did she would have told Thor as much. As it was, she simply enjoyed their time together and wanted to continue having fun. It was easier to hang out with Thor than it was other members of the Avengers. He didn't see her as a weapon but as a person.

For Wanda, that was a rare thing.

"Is there a faster way there?" Not that walking wasn't fun but they've been walking for awhile now.
