It was a rough few months. She barely saw Cassidy and then one day he was just gone. She knew what it meant and while she felt the pain of his leaving it was dulled by everything else: the heartache, the loneliness and everything else. She'd had people she'd gotten close to over the past two years but no one came close to Thor. So she found herself standing in front of his door, praying that he was there and alone.
Her knuckles gently knocked on the hard wood as her voice weakly called through the doorway.
"Thor?" How many times had she come here and just let herself in? She spent a great deal of her time with Thor anyway but today was different. Today she felt entirely out of place, like a shadow on the world instead of someone truly living in it.
"Thor?" Her voice cracked and she tried to steel it against the dam of emotions she felt press behind her eyes. "Thor please be here. I need you."
